I especially like that it has 3-inch-wide margins and lots of white space which makes it easy on the eyes. The book has a type font that is easy to read for lengthy time periods. There are many, many useful tips in the margins that help you remember key points.This book covers formatting style, grammar issues, and has 10 appendices. Of most importance is its 'Dangerous Abbreviations and Dose Designations' appendix. Here is where they list The Institute for Safe Medication Practices' (ISMP)listing of abbreviations and dose designations that are dangerous to patient safety. Of particular value for students are the appendices that include 'Sample Reports,' and 'Soundalikes.'This is an absolute 'must-have' for any medical transcriptionist.
